NEW YORK, NEW YORK -- MILES McENERY GALLERY is pleased to announce Do You Think It Needs A Cloud? opening on 10 September 2020 at 511 West 22nd Street and remaining on view through 10 October 2020.

Do You Think It Needs A Cloud? is the inaugural exhibition at Miles McEnery Gallery’s newly expanded Chelsea location and is accompanied by a fully illustrated digital publication.

The show’s title is based on a quotation by Jane Freilicher.

The exhibition is comprised of contemporary paintings in dialogue with Post-War works, linking generations of artists as well as abstraction and depiction.

The artists featured in Do You Think It Needs A Cloud? draw inspiration from the natural world as a leaping off point for artistic expression. The resulting works represent a unique coalescence of landscape and abstraction.
